What is BeFound and how does BeFound differ from existing job boards?

BeFound is not a job board. BeFound is a candidate board. There are no jobs advertised on BeFound. In fact, the site works exactly like a job board but the other way around. Candidates create and promote their on-line profiles and employers search through the profiles using a combination of browse functions and keyword searches to find prospective employees.

It's 100% free to create and promote your profile.
It's 100% anonymous and safe.
It's 100% free for employers to join, search and view anonymous profiles.

So how much does it cost again?
It's completely free to Candidate.
BeFound operates a "PPW" policy i.e. 'pay per win' where employers only pay once a job is offered and accepted. The BeFound placement fee is only $500 + GST.

How does BeFound differ from the other 'Candidate profile' sites?
There are 6 main differences.

  1. BeFound controls and ensure candidates' anonymity at all times
  2. Employers are not able to view candidates' personal or contact details
  3. BeFound does not force employers to subscribe to the service and pay fees up front
  4. BeFound is not a database mining site and does not allow recruiters or employers to download profiles from the site
  5. Only employers with real and current vacancies are able to request a full candidate profile
  6. BeFound operates a 'pay per win' policy whereby employers only pay a placement fee once the placement has been agreed    

Who can use BeFound?
BeFound is open to Australian residents over the age of 16. You can register even if you are not actively looking for a job. Create your profile and store it on-line.

The Employer section of the site is open to all Australian Employers who need staff.

Why can't I register if I am overseas?
At this stage we will only accept registrations from Australian Residents and Australian employers.

Who can see my on-line profile?

There are 3 different levels of visibility.

  1. Everyone can perform a candidate search and see your profile title and summary.
  2. Only registered and bona fide employers can view your public profile. This profile does not include your name, contact information or referee information. It is completely anonymous. In addition, your current employer's details are also withheld.
  3. Your full profile which includes your name and referee information can only be seen by employers once you give your permission. The employer will request your full profile from BeFound. At the same time they must upload a Job Description. When this happens one of the BeFound staff will call you with details of the employer and the job. You can then decide if you would like to be considered for the role. Once we have your permission to do so we will send a secure system generated link to the employer allowing them to access your full profile.

Can I use my resume 'off-line'?
Yes. You can download your profile or e-mail it to yourself in PDF format.

Are there any other advantages of using BeFound?
Yes. Once you have created your profile on BeFound, you do not need to keep your Resume anywhere else. No need for USB keys or discs. All you need is your username and password and an internet connection and you can access your most recent Resume on-line from anywhere in the world.

Can recruitment agencies download my profile?
No. They will be able to see your anonymous public profile, but they will not be able to download your profile and will not be able to contact you through BeFound.

Are my contact details secure?
Yes. BeFound uses fully secure .Net and SQL Server Technologies. Your data is secure and protected. Your contact details are never revealed to a potential employer.

Why do I need to include a salary or rate on my profile?
This gives your potential future employer an indication of your salary or contract rate expectations, which they can easily compare to their budgets.

How  do contracting assignments work?  Do I need to find an agency to represent me?
The contracting side is vey simple. You do not need to have your own Pty Ltd Company. You do not need to find a representing agency. All of that is taken care of by BeFound. We have a partner agency and contractor management company who will represent you for contract roles.

What if the employer has a PSA (Preferred Supplier Agreement)?
Where employers have a PSA in place and require contractors to be represented by a specific agency or supplier this is not an issue. We will negotiate the engagement with the relevant supplier from the PSA. The nominated supplier will need to add their fees on top of those quoted by BeFound

 
Why can't I use a web-based e-mail address to register?

To protect candidates we validate all employers at time of registration and only bona fide employers are able to register and browse candidate profiles. We have taken the business decision that all employers must register using the company e-mail address.

What happens when I find a profile I like?
You need to request the full profile from BeFound which is done on-line. You will be asked to review our T&Cs and upload the relevant Job Description as part of the profile request. On receipt, BeFound staff will contact the candidate, present the Job Description to them and obtain their permission to send you their full profile.

Once you are ready to proceed to interview you simply contact BeFound and we will act to arrange the interview with the candidate.

Why do I need to upload a Job Description?
Full profiles are only sent to employers with current recruitment requirements. BeFound will present your Job Description to the candidate when obtaining their permission to forward you their full profile.

Why does the full profile link expire?
For the protection of candidates, the link is only valid for 2 weeks. This is to stop employers keeping links for use in the future. In most cases the recruitment process should be completed within 2 weeks. If you need to access the full profile after the link has expired, you can put a request to BeFound staff who will be happy to help you.

Contractor rates – are these all inclusive?
Yes. Contractor rates displayed are inclusive of all fees and charges. The fees are, however, indicative and the candidates expectation may change depending on the exact role. All fees quoted on BeFound are subject to GST.

We have a PSA – how does that wok?
No problem!  If you find a contractor through BeFound, the contractor can still be represented by your PSA panel member. All you need to do is give us the details of the panel member and we will do the rest. In these cases the contractor charge rate will increase as the PSA panel member will add their fees on top of the quoted/negotiated rates.

How much does it cost me to use BeFound?
It is FREE to search and browse the candidate database.
It is FREE to request to see a full profile.
It is FREE to interview.

Does BeFound offer any placement guarantees?
BeFound does not endorse or recommend any candidates listed on the site. The candidates have not been screened or vetted in any way and therefore absolutely no guarantees are offered. Once placement fees have been paid to Be Found Pty Ltd, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
